Four reasons everyone needs waterproof flooring

Yes, life happens, and with the holidays just around the corner, there will most likely be an increase in spills and stains--not to mention a lot of cooking, which will make the kitchen hot and steamy. That’s a lot for any room, especially the flooring, to take. Enter a relative newcomer on the market, waterproof WPC that will remove all the worries.

What is it?

Consumers tend to become confused about this material, but just remember that it’s luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) with a very tough WPC (wood plastic composite) core. While all LVF is waterproof, this core offers the highest level of protection; there’s just no way water can penetrate. WPC also makes the flooring thicker, which also means a thicker wear layer, the top sheet that protects against scratches and dents.

Up until this product came on the market, the only waterproof choices for flooring were limited to vinyl and tile.

It can be used in any room, but it's especially great for the high-moisture ones, such as baths, laundry rooms, and kitchens.

Although the cooler weather is fast approaching, there are a lot of pools in Las Vegas and when people run in and out with wet feet, you’ll really appreciate the waterproof flooring with the WPC core, especially if it’s installed near the entrances by the pool.

Let’s face it: Kids are messy. Those little hands constantly drop and spill. The toys can cause a lot of wear and tear; especially those pull toys that are always dragged across the floor. Between the thick wear layer and being such a waterproof floor, you’ll be able to rest easier.

Ever notice when we hear the word waterproof, most of us automatically think of water? Moisture is just as bad, however, and even though Las Vegas isn’t particularly humid, we can make a lot of moisture right in our own homes (such as leaky pipes and appliance floods), creating the perfect environment for mold and mildew to start growing. Mold and mildew can wreak havoc on the house and your health by damaging clothing and furnishings, creating an odor you can’t get rid of and causing respiratory problems for asthma and allergy sufferers.
